Kelexis Davenport is the hostess and emcee for the evening.

Chelsea Pearl opens in a gorgeous, stunning black and aurora stone gown. Stunning. Classic Chelsea. Classic. Period. Crowd worships. As they should.

Evening Gown Competition

1. Bridget Nickles – Bridget is escorted by a lovely man in a tuxedo. She enters in a full length caramel feather coat. Sweeping updo, smooth and lovely. Very visible wigline. She’s in a gown inspired by Bob Mackie. It’s a nude gown with gold beads and covered in aurora stones. Matching aurora earrings. Some feather strands stuck to her gown, left over from the coat. Modeling a little rushed.

2. Dina Jacobs – Dina is in a red and gold Asian-inspired gown. Smooth blonde updo. Bottom of gown is red chiffon. Bust is Asian print. Matching small jewelry. Arm cuffs made of print material and long flowing chiffon.

3. Scarlett Dailey – Scarlett is in a teal off-the-shoulder gown, covered in aurora stones. The gown fit is perfect with matching Rhinestone Art jewelry. Hair is sweeping updo, very smooth. Matching teal dyed pumps.

4. Jewel Holiday – Jewel is in a silver and black beaded gown, covered in crystal rhinestones. Hair is smooth with “donuts” in back. Very elegant. Matching silver and rhinestone pumps.

5. Monica West – Monica is in a black and white beaded flower gown. Her beaded flowers flow up one shoulder and into her beautifully coiffed evening hair. The fish tail of the gown is in black layers of ruffles. Matching black and crystal jewelry. Matching black pumps, which she proudly showed to the judges.

6. Nancy Taylor – Same green and yellow gown from last year. See last year’s coverage for details. She may have lost some weight because it is loose fitting under the breast. She is gorgeous, elegant and models well.

7. Christiana Sinclair – Presents in a black fox tail wrap. She’s in a black and nude chiffon wrap dress. It reveals her waistline on both sides and comes to a point at the bellybutton, where there is a diamond of crystal stones. Back is VERY deeply cute and lace “panties” show and are stoned. Very fast modeling.

8. Nicole Dubois – Nicole is in a purple and gold beaded gown by Claire’s Collection. This is her winning America gown. It has a chevron from along the waist, very good fit and very fast modeling as well. Hair is beautiful back sweep in hues of blonde. Parts covered in aurora stones. Very nice.

9. Anita Mann – Anita is in a Coco Vega beaded gown in orange, chocolate and silver beads. It is black nude material in parts with aurora stones throughout. The hips have chocolate cutouts with stones throughout.

10. Erica King – Erica is in a nude stretch gown with small aurora stones throughout. Gown is a little tight and you can see the lines of her undergarments. Hair is in a lovely pile of curls upon the top of her head. Very smooth modeling. Very full fishtail at the very bottom of the gown.

11. Alicia Markstone – Alicia is in her purple gown from last year. See last year’s coverage for details. Hair is updo in large curls in light blond. Hair underneath is darker shade.

Talent

1. Bridget Nickles – Video on movie screen backdrop; Bridget is doing “Listen” by Beyonce in Dreamgirls. She has a movie playing that mimics Beyonce’s video somewhat but features Bridget in various poses, backstage, photos, etc. Very well done video. She is lip syncing Listen in a blue chiffon gown in front of the screen. Very good emotion. She went behind the screen; she took her wig off before she got backstage. Two female dancers come out as the Dreams (Dreamgirls theme). They are in matching sequin swirl dresses in gold, green and purple. A little off at first but overall very well done. Audience liked very much.
2. Dina Jacobs – Dina is lip syncing Lena Horne’s From This Moment On in a steel blue sequin dot gown with blue satin overlay. She’s very enthusiastic. Great stage presence. Stays in middle of stage. Skip in CD. Song changes to I Gotta Name.
3. Scarlett Dailey – U-G-L-Y, you ain’t got no alibi is playing. She comes out as Betty Suarez in Ugly Betty. She is decked out in a Guadelajara poncho and braces on her teeth. Total comedy number with Mode magazine and crazy dances. Lip sync was a little off in places – probably because of braces. Cute.
4. Jewel Holiday – Starts off with “I’m Every Woman.” She’s in a black coat, covering everything. This is the popular Patty Labelle into “Get on Up” mix. Good dancing, cute interaction with Kelexis.
5. Monica West – Monica is on a box as a jewelry box ballerina. A man in tuxedo opens and takes a giant key and winds her up. Song is “music Box.” She turns on the box. Very well done. She gets wound up again with key. She pushes off guy with key. And six dancers enter in matching costumes. Wow! Song goes into something very dramatic (Ram-a-lama-bang-bang). Dancers are on. The competition has now officially begun. This was hot. I can’t believe she’s over 40 years old! Very entertaining. Incredible stage presence. This was a unique and entertaining talent that had the audience on their feet. Color me impressed. Monica is the monkey wrench in this competition.
6. Nancy Taylor – Sitting in a chair in a leather outfit in middle of stage-rhinestones across her face. She’s doing No More Drama by Mary J. Blige. The sound is static-y and a little muffled – CD quality issue. She sits in the chair for a little too long. She’s got a whip. She gets up, throws the chair away, cracks the whip some and then “dances” some. This is a solo talent. Lip sync is off.

Special entertainment – Chelsea, Ginger, Latoya

7. Christiana Sinclair – Black velvet and crystal rhinestone outfit with big tophat and feathers. Song is “Dreams” by Grace Slick. Solo talent. Outfit and hair are sickening. Her contacts are white and a little freaky looking. Lip sync is totally on. She is lovely. Her contact came out at end and she had one blue and one white eye. Hot.
8. Nicole Dubois – Wicked. Copy of Miss Gay America talent of Savannah Delorean. Green witch makeup is spotty at arms, around eyes and neck. Savannah is playing the Good Witch part. Lip sync is awesome. She’s really feeling it and selling it. Green makeup has rubbed off all over her costume. Ending is sickening – same as Savannah’s – she rises from the “clouds” with a giant cape blowing from beneath and glowing green. Audience worshiped.
9. Anita Mann – Dreamgirls. Starts with One Night Only and she’s dancing the house down. Four dancers. Dancing is on. She’s really selling it. Audience clearly was for her from the beginning but she earned it in the end. WOW! Great job. Total energy all the way throughout. I can’t believe some of these girls are over 40!
10. Erica King – Wynona talent. Hair is blondish instead of red. She’s in a black and red fringe pantsuit but is a little thin for Wynona. No One Else on Earth. She was enthusiastic.
11. Alicia Markstone – Makeup table on stage. She’s doing “My Life.” She enters in a pink silk robe and headwrap. She sits at table and puts on makeup during the first 2/3 of talent. Lip sync off a little. She takes off headwrap and puts on hair pieces. She takes off her robe and puts on stretch velvet gown and then earrings and mascara. Really???? Bra showing in back of “gown.” Uneventful ending.

The USofA crown appears. She sheds the coat and it goes into the disco version of the song. She’s in red and silver beaded dance costume with matching backup dancers in pink. A little problem with the costume coming down and she has to keep pulling it up.Six more male dancers enter in pink and white costumes. High energy. Great dancing. Standing ovation from the crowd.

Nancy stands alone as dancers move back and forth in front. Nancy moves forward. Costume is coming apart early. She turns her back and undoes her coat, goes behind a prop with her name on it and comes out in a red salsa looking outfit. Male dancers come with her. Good choreography. Also has two black girls as “Dreams” on stage. Males leave. She bumped into a dancer. Needs just a little more rehearsal.
