FUN, HIGH ENERGY TALENT!
****************************************************
2-JAME PERRY- Talent from prelims......Again, with the massive size of the ballroom and the stage being much larger than the preliminary competition nights, Jame's "La Reina" Celia Cruz illusion is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Lipsyncing completely "en Espanol" Jame is on every word, breath and beat as the talent continuously changes from her solo, to having 2 dancers with her, then 4, then 6,then the BIG FINISH with 13 TOTAL DANCERS with Cuban style brightly colored hand-held props. 3 percussion playing backups (1 with maracas, 2 playing the bongos), 2 queens with an escort/dancer each, and the original 6 dancers......that makes what could be "Lucky #13" for Jame tonight! A BRILLIANT TALENT PRESENTATION!
****************************************************
3-ASHLEY KRUIZ-"2001" in silver glittered numbers on black panels, sets the stage as the sounds of the "Miss USofA 2001" crowning ceremony are played. Nina DeAngelo accepting 4th Runner up, Celeste Holmes, portraying "Roxy Marquis", accepted 3rd Runner up....Alicia Markstone herself was next as 2nd runner up, then ASHLEY KRUIZ accepted 1st runner up, as she did in 2001. Finally, Erika Norell's crowning moment is recreated exactly, as Ashley slowly makes her way to the opposite side of the "runners up". Begining to perform "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera, Ashley's emotions were evident, and very fitting to the lyrics. With the break of the song, the silver on black "2001" drops to reveal white with silver "2004" as a voiceover proclaims "That was then, this is now" and Ashley says "I've been waiting for this" Mixing into a transition song, she is flanked with 6 dancers carrying large, impressive feather fans. From the start of her talent to this point, Ashley wears her FAMOUS Evening Gown catagory winning "Zebra print" gown until she disappears behind the large formation of the fans. With a dramatic burst of fog following the outward wave of the fans, Ashley is standing on top of a set of stairs wearing a nude catsuit speckled with rhinestones, designed with 2 star shapes on the bust and one in a bikini type covering. The 4 dancers now wearing sheer half-shirts off their shoulders and black pants are soon joined by the remaining 2 dancers to make 6 again. "Toxic" is the song of choice, which unexpectedly has Kelexis Davenport, Chevelle Brooks, and Angelica Sanchez joining Tamisha and her dancers to all perform the shocking, seemingly impossible leaps, splits, and "deathdrops" that Tamisha and her special guest star dancers are all well known for perfecting on stage!
