Do I have to pay for my Dresser/Dancer?

All persons who are not contestants, promoters, or staff of USofA Pageants must pay cover to enter the Round Up.  At the contestant meeting on May 20 you will be able to purchase a weeklong pass for your dancers, dressers, assistants, etc.  They are only sold at that meeting, so bring the cash for these tickets with you.

The price is $65.00 per person and is discounted from regular price.  These
passes are valid for  Tuesday, Thursday,  and Friday nights.   If purchased
separately, they would be $76.00.

If you have someone who will be a dancer, but will not be attending all week, you must purchase a pass for the days that he will be there.  These passes will be sold at registration and will only be valid for the specific days that you pay for.

There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy.

Why has the scoring changed for Miss USofA?

In response to requests made by contestants, we have changed the preliminary system for all USofA Pageant's National Pageants.  Contestants did not like being assigned to groups in advance of the pageant.  They felt that they did not have fair chances of making finals if they were in a "strong" group.  Because of this request, contestants will draw their group assignments at the first contestant meeting.  If they are not happy with the group they draw, they may trade with another contestant.

In an effort to be fair to all contestants, the scoring was changed so that the 12 highest scoring contestants will be in finals.  That means that if a group has the 4 highest scoring contestants, all four will go to finals.  If a group has no contest that scores in the top twelve, no one from that group will go to finals.

How will I know what is going on daily while in Dallas?

What can I expect my promoter to pay for?

You can expect your promoter to only pay for the things that were listed in your contract or contestant handbook.  Anything else is your responsibility.  If your promoter pays for anything else, that is extra.  Do not count on anything other than your prize package and budget accordingly. Make sure and keep in constant communication with your promoter to prevent unpleasant surprises for either party.
