TALENT

Entertainment by:

The lovely Miss Gay USofA At-Large 1998 Dena Cass, just crowned by her USofA family tonight with a special Miss National USofA America And Then Some Crown.  Oh and then she spilled the tea… “and then somebody said Girl the pageant was cancelled… not even the week before, FIVE days before!  Anyway, I already knew I was miss National, because I had spent enough money to be miss National so I won.  If any other bitch has a receipt for airline tickets, I’m gonna crown her Miss National too!  To the formers, I’m actually gonna pay mine when they come… and the pay was double!  And to those who question, “Will She go in February?  Your question has been answered!”

Kofi took us back to some Crystal Waters “100% Pure Love”… followed by Macy Gray’s “I Try.”  Miss Gay USofA 2003 Raquell Lord was just purely sickening and showing the crowd exactly why she is the reigning Miss Gay USofA.  “I Belong to You”, indeed!  Children were lined up on both sides of her to tip!  Miss Lord just had me in tears with “Your Lover for Life”… and brought herself to tears during her Whitney medley.  This was the first time I saw Raquell since we crowned her in May, and I was just overcome with her performance.  Alicia Markstone took us back to “Heartbreak Hotel” right before the beginning of talent, complete with the Eagle cape.

Groups 3 & 4

13 – Roxxy Hart: Opened solo in front of brick wall prop with a beer bottle.  Burgundy lace dress with black fringe bottom and black boots, thigh-high.  Smokin, drinkin trying to free my mind.  Smoky Joe’s Café.  Props open to choir scene.  “Saved” with 6 backup dancers in purple robes.  Rolling church pew at the end of the number with Roxxy standing atop.

14 – Dorae Saunders: Solo dance talent, Donna Summers, “Last Dance” – red and gold overcoat with oriental style beading on the front.  Gold open-toed  ankle strap pumps, overcoat comes off to reveal read and beaded dance costume.  Very high energy opening to dance segment of the song.  Offstage costume change before finale of song.  Ended with tumbleroll to the judge’s table.

15 -  Kitty Litter: Black dance costume with gold beaded fringe.  “Woman’s Got the Strength” by Jennifer Holliday. Very expressive lip sync.  Running split in front of judge’s table.  Jump split… cartwheel.  I’m just exhausted watching this girl dance… every time I thought she was done, she gave it up again.  “Joy”… that’s for damn sure!  I think she left something all over the judge’s table… a little joy and then some.  Miss Kitty left the stage just drenched in sweat.

16 – Jocelyn L. Summers:  Doing a Tina talent number with backdrop complete with TINA spelled out in lights with the I having lighting issues.  Wearing a black long coat split in the front with silver buttons.  Elton John came out in a light blue jacket with blue boa white pants and platform boots, and rhinestoned glasses.  Nicely done duet well played off each other.  Song change into costume change.  Two guy and two girl dancers into Hey Look Me Over.  New costume of black short dress with diamond squares of rhinestones and black patent leather shoes.  Dancers in black and white. (nice to Miss Texas America Josephine O’Hara as a boy back up dancer).

17 – Taylor Roberts:  Doing a REBA talent number, in a short black fringed costume.  Wearing a headset and thigh-high black boots.  “Take It Back” and “Respect”.  Second number in a shorter fringe skirt than the first.

18 – Shannon Dupree: Missy Elliott, “Work It”… opens with 2 dancers in white tees, black jeans, black caps and white tees.  Shannon in black track suit with black and white sneaks, white stripes and white silk beret with white do rag.  Silver cross on necklace.  Mix into “Get Your Freak On” solo, then with 4 dancers.  “Gossip Folks” solo… then dancers joined her onstage again. Lots of high energy from the dancers.

Entertainment break:

Raquell Lord again just flawless.  Miss Gay USofA At-Large 2001 Niesha Dupree gave us some old school Queen Latifah with “Come into my house”… followed by Alicia Markstone doing a remix of Anastacia.

And this just in…  Barbara Herr 1st alternate at Continental Elite to Nikki Adams.  Ooh girl!

19 – Noel Leon: “For the Boys”  grey military overcoat with black swimsuit underneath.  Opened the jacket into “I’m Beautiful (Dammit)”, lipsyncing with a microphone.

20 – Chocolate Thunderpussy: Singing live to “Get Here” by Oleta Adams in a sickening gold dress.  Great improve verse and some scat during the instrumental bridges.

Um, you’re coming to the USofA Stars show at the Round Up, 10:30pm on Wednesday… right?

21 – Lady Ivana:  Black mock turtleneck shortsleeved dress with white and black plaid overcoat.  Joan Crawford “Mommie Dearest” scene with puppet as Christina.  Onstage props including a black vanity and hanger rack with dresses.  “No More Drama” dance remix.  With black spaghetti dress and black fringe, black flats. Christina puppet dress ripped away to reveal a matching black fringe dress.

22 – Chanel: “For The Boys”  (a whole night of Dixie Leonard, oh joy!) – nice energy in a blue US Air Force jacket.  High kicks during the first song showed that (guess what) the jacket is coming off for the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy from Company B” number… wearing a nude illusion costume with red, white and blue fringe in fringe pattern through the waist.  Great energy throughout the entire number.

23 – Kelexis Davenport: Seems like everywhere Miss Gay America 2003 Dominique Sanchez goes, I’m there with the laptop.  Here we are again, as Chris joins the Kelexis package as a cheerleader backup dancer this year.  Great crowd response to open the number.  Also a backup dancer in the number is Alyssa Edwards.  Red white and blue cheerleader outfits with USA lettering.  Great energy from Kelexis.  Six cheerleaders as backups.  Dominique fell after the high kick toe touches.  A high energy medley including “Don’t Make Me Wait”… including a split.  “Simply The Best”  Great tumbling passes from Dominique and another male dancer.  Excellent cheerleader routine, kids it was just like watching ESPN with a “Kelexis” cheer at the end.  Great use of pompoms that spelled out U-S-A during the number.

Dena Cass gives the speech for the new girls who didn’t bring it all for prelims.  Amen.  Can I get a verse from the choir?

24 – Vanessa Ross: White robe with ruffles at the collar and wrists.  Barbra Streisand on the cell phone, from “Nuts”… dance break with “Love Is A Crime” by Anastacia wearing black and white striped costume with orange trim.  Two backup dancers wearing cute square cut hot shorts in orange with black and white striped patterns.  This girl is just gorgeous!  Dance break included some solo stage time by Miss Ross with some great dance spins and those patented drag moves #49 and #58.  Great stage presence and mug on this one!  Ended the number with a jump split!  Alright for that!

25 – Mackynzie Bryant – Solo talent, silver robe with black cuffs.   Whitney Houston, “On My Own” into Donna Summer live “Last Dance”… robe ripaway to reveal black dance costume with white fringe, knee high boots with matching fringe and stones throughout the costume.  Sleeves fringed to match.  Great jump split during the number.

Great crowd tonight at the Village Station on a Tuesday, even.  You kids at home are missing all the fun (and not to mention the lovely backup dancers… just scrumptious and things!  I even love the ones who don’t tuck…)  Talent standouts were Kelexis Davenport, Kitty Litter, Shannon Dupree, Vanessa Ross and Mackynzie Bryant.

Although the gowns tonight were much stronger than the first night, the two that stood out the most and were the strongest in the group thoughts were Roxy Harts and Kelexis Davenports.

But the biggest question on EVERYONE’S mind is where is CAW tonight.  CAW didn’t show up to do the color talk, and yours truly, Gary Tom (YRTEXAS for those of you CF’ers) is doing it, so BE NICE TO ME!!!!

Ok gang, time for the break to be over…Kofi started us off with a great Patti mix to get the kids in the mood for the talent portion of the night.  She let us have it with “LOOKING AROUND” while rolling on the floor just FEELING IT!!!  And yes kids, the wig CAME OFF!!!!!!!

Next on the list was former title holder Victoria Le Paige doing an incredible TINA illusion.  She was “SIMPLY THE BEST”!  next up on the slate Dena Cass doing her talent that she would have done to win the NATIONAL @ LARGE title, dressed in classic Victorian Madona 1990’s MTV awards looking costume!  The crowd is eating her up and showering her in the coins!  And a touch of class, Dean has included the list of former National winners in the rap part of VOGUE!  Sister knows how to work a number and make the crowd get into it and love her even more!

In the audience tonight is former Miss USofA and reigning Miss Continental Erica Norell, pure fish.  The girl is stunning to look at and can wear a pair of shoes like NOONE else!!!!!  Nice to see top 12 finalist at USofA this year Wendy Williams here with us tonight and looking as incredible as ever.  Continuing the talent is the reigning Miss USofA, Raquel Lord looking stunning in cream silk and rhinestones.  The crown looks incredible on her head.  She wears it well like she was born to it!  The crowd is lined up to give her the bucks.  To watch her is like seeing Tommie Ross, pure elegance and class without the attitude.  And finally to end the special talent tonight with only 1 more night to go as the reigning Miss USofA @ Large Alicia Markstone doing a crown number in a high cut slit on the right leg nude gown cut across the bodice.  The cut out panels show just how great her body is.  These girls are showing us why they have been given the chance to wear the crown and respresent the USofA @ Large system.  They are simply the bomb!

Lord Kofi and Dena came out in the same gown as Siamese twins in a 10x red outfit, then stripped out of it to a Coca-Cola and Diet Coke outfit.

  1. Rhiannon Todd:  Singing live complete with backup singers doing Stevie Nicks.  Very vintage FLEETWOOD MAC outfit in hot pink and purple.  Music tended to overpower the her voice and over shadow her talents.  Very lovely face….easily one of the most beautiful girls in the contest this week.  Where’s Simon Cowell when you need his words of advice and wisdom?
  1. Jessica O’Brien:  Doing a DVD presentation on the screen using the graphics and modern technology to her advantage into a high energy mix.  Starting out in a blue and black cover cape, worked the crowd from one side of the stage to the other using the music well.  Left the stage and returned in a HOT PINK fringe dance outfit  with nude illusion mid-section and HOT PINK granny boots covered in rhinestones.  Good energy in number, girl worked the long hair and felt the number, not letting down the energy thru out the number.  Ending just kind of was out there leaving us wondering if there was more.
  1. Martina Dezarea:  Serious prop set up with lighted up car!  CARWASH is being brought to us in this number. Martina and 4 back up  MENZ  working the car wash and doing us right.  Some dancer issues at first but on TRAX with tumbling and energy moves in the music change in to FREAK OUT.  From starting out in cover alls into black and white pants and top with rhinestone bodice, the girl worked the stage and judges. Slight dancer issues but strong number for her.
  1. Nykizha Iman:  Starting out in a pink house coat and FUZZY slippers a back up came out and lead into SWEET GEORGIA BROWN.  Nykizha came out in a gold and black outfit with gold sequins on sleeves, collar, and bottom of skirt.  Head piece with feathers and sequins.  Music changed into “IT DON’T MEAN A THING” with two guys out dancing in tux vests and blue ties….and out comes Nykiza in a costume change of blue and black.  Dancer issues being off from each other.  Both dancers along with nykizha and came back with her without the skirt in a swimsuitish outfit….bad attempt at tapping from the guys.  A lot of  potential from this girl, time on stage will make her stronger!
  1. Jocelyn Summers:  Starting out in a black cover up coat with black sunglasses and long black hair.  Doing Madonna’s Erotica to start out with and showing nice stage presence. And out comes the two back up dancers in red shorts and black combat boots and pull off the cover up coat.  Leather fetish image for the next outfit.  Nice interaction between Jocelyn and the back up dancers as she lipsync’s take me, take me down on your knees.  Issues with one of the backup looking bored, but nothing that you could clock with the number!  Great Job!!!!

Lord Miss Kofi wants to have salad with the dancers!!!!!!

  1.  Alayna Marquez:  doing CHER in a red and black lace long dress outfit in “IN MY LOVE SONG”, leaving the stage to do a costume change into a shorter version of the original outfit.  Doing her prelim talent from the Miss Texas contest where she qualified for here.  Out comes four back up latin menz in black slacks, shirts and red ties.  Great interaction with the dancers during the dance break of the song.  Dancer issues with one of the guys having his tie flipping backwards for the most part of the song.

Special entertainment between the groups started by none other the current Miss USofA Raquell Lord wearing lace NOTHING!!!!  Girl is breathtaking, my god does she ever have a bad moment???  Then Kofi gave her impression of Raquell laying on the floor and screamed “can a real man help me up?”  Next up is Erica Norell, the reigning Miss Continental looking like a vision of loveliness doing “I AM BEAUTIFUL”.  The kids lined up to hand over the coins to her to show their love!  Up next Niesha Dupree, another of the long list of incredible former USofA @ Largest Jerry Bird can claim as his children.  And finally ending the special entertainment Alicia Markstone in burgundy and black fleathers and WINGS doing Bring Me to Life.  Absolutely LOVELY!!!  Girl is covered in Rhinestones attached to the body…..SICKENING!

  1. Princess Janae:  Starting out doing CONTROL in a fully glittered dot gown pulling a suitcase start into a monolog of multi encased numbers.   Girl has more personalities going on than SYBAL ever encountered.  Straight into the “no more wire hangers” and PEPSI CO  speeches and moving into other  monologs including the COLOR PURPLE.   The mixes are confusing and hard to focus on and concentrate on and enjoy.  With all the multi encounters going on, she does a great job of presenting the works and emotions.
  1. Angel Sheridan:  A fan dance number with red, orange, and yellow colors.  Latin flavor with slasa mixed into the number, 4 back up dancers with high energy coming out in the same outfits as Angel.  A quick stage exit leaves 2 of the dancers working into “CONGA BEAT” as Angel comes out in a full skirt with sequin top.  The boys fan Angel as the number goes on.  The dancers grab the skirt and unwind Angel as the number goes into LA BAMBA.  Victoria Lace is a back up as a boy in this number!  Great energy and poise with this number and presented well.  Two straight girls DRUNK came out onto the stage at the end to dance with her and were TACKLED!!!!!! And drug off stage.  We love us some BOBBY taking care of the girls tonight!
  1. Kori Stevens:  Doing Whitney Houston and starting in a red layered over coat and pulling it off and having a black fringe bra top and black mini skirt underneath.  Kori sang “I WANNA DANCE WITH SOMEBODY” and danced the number out into splits.  Kori can get into some unusual positions and proved it throughout the number.  What she lacked in professional dance quality, she makes up with STAGE PRESENCE.
  1. Passion St. Claire:  set up time is needed for this contestant as they build the prop on stage and made sure that HOME DEPOT had nothing left in the supplies.  Glass, foam core, and lights are with this 7th wonder of the world as they HAMMER the prop into place.  MISSY AIN’T PLAYING WITH THIS PROP!  The lights come up with a CHANEL store front with manquins in the windows.  Passion comes out in a pinstriped suit and fedora hat doing EMPTY by janet Jackson.  Back up dancers in pink and purple pinstripe suits come out with guys in red pinstripe suits join along with one in blue.  Great JANET mix, dancers working great together and all movements perfect with nothing to be able to be clocked.   Add to the mix a guy in yellow and another in black pinstripe suits while Passion does ALL RIGHT.  Finally the doors to the CHANEL shop open revealing Kourtney Van Wells decked out in Chanel!!!  Ends with “YOU KNOW YOU WANT ME”…..GIRL WORKED IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
  1. Sybil Ann Storm:  Doing a SUPERSTAR number as Mary Katherine Galleger.  Into the “OUT HERE ON MY OWN” into the priest confession.  Finally goes into “BABY I’M A STAR” with  two back up guy dancers.  Very clean and well put together.  Very little to clock.  Ends with the tree kissing scene going back into the “BABY I’M A STAR”.

12.  Monica St. James:  Comes out doing Tina “WHEN THE HEARTACHE IS OVER” in a white shirt and black stretch sequin pants.  Mix goes into a TINA monolog and into “PROUD MARY” and rips the pants and top off and has a sky blue halter dress with blue fringe on the bottom and around the bust.  Again a monolog into “BABY I’M A STAR” with four backup dancers including D’Andre former Mister USA and current reigning Mister EOY helping out.  Costume change into a short sky blue dance outfit with the dancers interacting and giving energy to the number.  Very slight dancer issues with hand and leg movement.  But nothing major.

And with this, the end of the contest comes to us.  Miss CAW is nowhere to be found, and unfortunately you had to deal with my words and thoughts.  Thanks for the time to give my thoughts and to Dena and Kofi, thanks for making it a night to enjoy.  Tomorrow the doors open at 8 and the contest starts at 9 sharp.  Be ready for the top 12 to be announced and posted on line and then the updates throughout the contest to be given live and uncensored.  Thanks again for the fun, god my fingers are killing me.  CAW, YOU OWE ME HUGE!!!!!!!

Best Non-Finalist goes to: Mackenzie Bryant

Our guests tonight include the newly crowned Miss Continental and former Miss USofA Erika Norell.  Lou Haskell relieve Dena and Kofi in order to give a couple more awards.  The  Preliminary of the Year award goes to Miss Gay Ohio USofA At-Large.  The Chairman’s Award now belongs to John and Steve of Tulsa, OK.  The Promoter of the Year Award was given to Jennifer Wohl of Miss Gay Pennsylvania At-Large.  The Businessman of the Year Award goes to John Shockey.  One more plug for Miss Classic USofA in February, mmhmm.

For those of you who don’t know, the judges are Stacey Holliday, Whitney Paige, Maya Douglas, Chevelle Brooks, Niesha Dupree, Kitti Daniels, and Ben Earley of Dallas.

Special entertainment before talent:  Niesha Dupree, Raquell Lord looking stunning in a patriotic dress with USA flag trim at the bust, collar and wrist gauntlets.  Dena Cass killed every bird in North America for her costume and headdress.  Alicia Markstone with a remix of “Take My Breath Away” by Berlin.

The pageant is being taped by Kalani Productions for USofA Pageants… I already purchased the prelim nights on DVD.  Kofi reminds us that I am in the house because we don’t mind who knows what goes on in this pageant… as I point out the front row here with laptops, cell phones and cameras that we were allowed to bring in tonight to give updates.  Sophia McIntosh and Kofi tore up some sermonating.  I live for Miss Sophia and her white athletic socks with open toed shoes.  “And I’m gonna tell the Holy Ghost the unadulterated truth”  - “And you don’t come down here looking like you at talent night” – “Talkin bout she wanna dance with somebody and she can’t even catch the beat herself”  - “You need to catch the rhythm yourself” – Teaching us about the 6 o’clock kick and you only hitting 6:15.  “We got 13 tonight so somebody done snuck in here tonight” – “Somebody’s gonna be out there that was in the pageant and she’s gonna look in and say well I was better than her, NO you was worse” – “Danielle you cannot be up here eating – that’s incest, a HOG eating PIG SKINS”

 FINAL NIGHT TALENT

1 -  Angel Sheridan: same talent as prelims with the vocal intro.  Four backup dancers as before, same mix.  Dancers lined up behind her turned to the wrong side the first time, corrected it the second time.  Fabulous choreography, energy from the dancers.  Her outer costume zipper was way off center in the back.  Finale was different tonight with Erika Norell coming out with about 15 other dancers, the 4 she had before and several others in various different costumes.  Also Michelle Dupree as a boy.  Great energy from start to finish!

“everybody who didn’t make the finals, did you see what a nice production look like?” – Sophia

2 – Jocelyn Summers: same talent as prelims, beginning of Erotica and “Love Dominates” with 2 backup dancers, the now infamous Matt and Sean from this week’s Tea with Bette D.  Came out tonight without the sunglasses and looking very relaxed and comfortable.  Timing off on the back flips and forward somersaults.  Jocelyn showed much greater energy and stage presence tonight compared to prelims.  Some small issues with synchronicity of her dancers.

Jocelyn got down on her knees for Sophia.  Sophia singing us a new spiritual about “Paying your rent and paying it on time” as Passion’s people work on the elaborate setup… Sophia claiming that somebody must have been evicted.

3 – Passion St. Clair: same talent from prelims, zoot suits in purple, pink, black, red, yellow and light blue.  Janet Jackson “Alright” with the Chanel storefront.  Fierce choreography and energy from the dancers.  Some timing issues with the handkerchiefs.  Change from prelims: MICHAEL JACKSON comes out of the storefront and dances with Passion.  Definitely the talent to beat so far.

4 – Kitty Litter: Changing her talent from prelims when she danced solo.  Opens with “Dive in the Pool” and six backup dancers.  Black dress with orange and black ruffles at the cuffs, black patent leather chunk heel boots up to the knee, orange and black fringe from the dance costume showing at the bottom.  Hair pulled back with headband.  Dancers wearing black and orange to match.  J.Lo “Let’s Get Loud”.  Backups are 4 boys and 2 queens. Ripaway to the orange dance costume, jump split into “Happy” by Gloria Estefan.  Beads just flying off that fringe.  Great timing on full jump kicks with all dancers.  “Oye” with circular dancing, boys lined up on one side, girls on the other.  Great energy with dancers in line sequences, kicks.  Some timing issues with in line arm swings, lined up behind Kitty. Back to J.Lo – love how the choreography is different for the queens than the boys.  Ended the talent with a jump split.  Obviously her prelim talent was just to get her to finals where she saved this for last.  Great energy.

Sophia stole one of Kitty’s dancers and introduced him as “Buster” to all the judges.  “Don’t let me catch ya with Stacey or I’m gonna Bust Her!”

5 – Vanessa Ross: changing her talent from prelims.  Black and red yin&yang on her prop over Japanese print characters in white, red and black.  8 dancers with costumes made of the same material as the prop.  4 girls and 4 boys.  Vanessa in black velvet pants with red trim at the waist and bust.  Nude illusion around the waist.  Red white and black scarves at the knees in front and back, off one hip and at the elbow and shoulders.  Some timing issues with the backup dancers.  Now I know what Vanessa’s left nipple looks like.  Janet Jackson “If”.  One male dancer fell on a step and ended up in opposite position of the girl compared to the other 3 couples.  Dancer in the back way off with this video-inspired choreography… “Rhythm Nation”.   Backup dancers know they shouldn’t watch each other to know which step is next.  Great illusion from Vanessa, the bitch is just gorgeous!  Slo-mo of “If” into “you didn’t think we was over”, another dance break and “That’s The End?”

6 – Chanel:  Same talent from prelims, Miss Dixie Leonard.  Illusion of Bette Midler in “For the Boys”… girl’s face is pure DUSTED tonight.  Has so much energy with those kicks that I can see the run in her control top hose… work girl.   Different costume for the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” section.  Champagne beaded fringe over same color swimsuit and nude illusion sleeves.  Bette Midler never had that much energy dancing in her life, I know this much is true!

Introducing some titleholders in the house including Miss Continental Erika Norell, Miss Texas USofA Porsche Paris, the new Mr. Black Universe Christopher Iman.

Entertainment break – Alicia Markstone looking stunning in a black feather headdress with black feather bra, collar and skirt trim.

7 – Kelexis Davenport: Video screen says “My Quest for the Crown”… white ruffle overcoat.  Lovely mug!  2000 3rd runner up, 2001 2nd runner up, 2002 1st runner up… 2003 ?  Slow ballad to open…. “get the point… good!”  Kevin Aviance vocal interlude with that fine ass man who works at Outlines on Cedar Springs… I spent enough money there to know this week.  Kina “Me” dance mix… in black and blue shredded dance costume.  Fishnets and black boots.  Black fishnet gloves to the elbows.  7 dancers with blue sleeveless tops and fishnet overlay, black pants and boots.  Great high kicks as Kelexis always does… solo dancing during the verses.  10 dancers at the chorus… great split lift but some problems with the transitions.  Dance switch to Beyonce “Crazy in Love” hook, then back to “Me” and ending with “Whew I am So Tired”… Dominique Sanchez looking fierce with her hair spiked out at the sides.   Dancers with black and blue face paint and stones glued to their faces.  Great dancer choreography, only a couple of synchronicity issues near the beginning.

8 – Princess Janae: same talent from prelims, the montage of movie clips.  Suitcase with clothes during the “Waiting to Exhale” segment… pulls out a wire hanger and does “Mommie Dearest” clips, including the board room scene.  That girl shook her head around so much, I’m surprised it stayed in place and her breasts didn’t pop out on us.

Sophia gives us her own little Tourette’s Syndrome episode, throwing her shoes at people.

9 – Alayna Marquez: same talent as Thursday night.  Love that red glitter eye shadow and smoky borders.  Red and black lace dress with ruffle skirt, black ankle strap open toed shoes and black glitter sleeves.  “Dove L’Amore” into the dance mix.  Offstage costume change during the vocal, wearing dress of the same material but skirt down to the thighs, asymmetrical hem from front to back lined with black beaded fringe.  4 dancers in black shirts and pants, red ties.

Sophia carried off the short dancer and let Buster know that she had the baby!  Sophia is a momma now!  She is collecting dancers at the podium and running out of barstools!  Stealing baby shower gifts off the judges’ table…

10 – Sybil Ann Storm: same talent from prelims, Mary Katherine Gallagher “Superstar”.  Dancers in powder blue polos and black pants.  Sybil in red sweater vest over white oxford shirt, green and navy plaid skirt.  Black sneakers with white laces and white crew socks.  Never met a priest with eyebrow and labret piercings taking confessions… but anything is possible at the Village Station in Dallas!  Tina Turner dancebreak… baby I’m a Star, she says!  Some dancer sync issues.  How many queens are in this talent?  Hmm I’m counting three… OK back to the dance break and counting how many times Sybil will flash her panties at the judges.  Three… same answer!  One change in this talent… the tree is near back of the stage, center… and it’s alive!  She goes to spank the tree and kiss it… and the tree comes to life and reads her for a few seconds… back to the Tina dance mix.  Great cartwheel to land in front of the judges to close her talent, adding one more to the total number of times we’ve seen her panties.

11 – Monica St. James: Powder blue dress with fringe around the neck and skirt hem.  Tina Turner concert mix, same talent as prelims.  Monica lip syncing with a mic.  Boy that floor is slick… 4 backup dancers with white oxfords and black pants… sync issues with their entrancecs and steps.  Offstage costume change…. Second dress, shorter than the first!  Monica dancing so hard she nearly lost her left breast padding, turned around to pop it back in.  Good energy from her and the dancers.

12 – Dorae Saunders: different talent tonight.  Tina Turner…. Black trenchcoat… black pleather spike heels.  “Goldeneye”… 4 dancers in black turtlenecks and black pants.  Christopher Iman as one of the backup dancers.  Very expressive lip sync and emoting.  Costume change, chocolate brown beaded frings dance costume with silver and brown straps up behind the neck.  Brown stoned star earrings.  Tina live, “Land of a Thousand Dances” (we think!).  Dancers with green glitter vests over black, with black pants.  Again with that slippery floor!

It has changed Sophia’s life to have a website and email address… ME TOO, SISTER!  Does anyone know if sophiamcintosh.org and .net are taken yet?  Get on it, children!

13 – Chocolate Thunderpussy: intro from Chicago, Chocolate singing live in the same dress from prelims, “When you’re good to momma”… lip sync the Queen Latifah lines from the movie interludes.  Much better vocal performance tonight than in prelims.

Sophia announcing the new Miss Crockett pageant with a brand new category… Fishing!  You gotta know how to fish and cook it yourself.  The winner will be the one who does the best with this: “All the judges eat her fried perch and don’t get sick!”  Sophia announced Texas USofA Classic until Craig told her she wouldn’t be there, then she changed her mind and said disregard that last announcement because it was just testing the mic. Seriously though, Tina Devore looks flawless tonight and I can’t say enough good things about how well she has promoted and supported this brand new crown in the USofA Pageants family.  I still can’t wait for St. Louis in February 2004!  Spread the word, children… spread it!  “See Niesha… even sinners have souls!”

Entertainment break before evening gown: Kofi in a black and white costume, yin and yang with some fierce amber bugeye sunglasses…. Doing Missy Elliott’s “One Minute Man” into “Work It” …

Former Miss Gay America 1992 Tiffany Bonet in the house, inviting me down for some smoked and fried turkey later this month.  Yum I love some good tight spread buffet, you know this!  Valerie Lohr, MGA 1991 is also in the house, as well as Laken Edwards.

Erika Norell “I Surrender Everything” in a sickening blue lowcut dress with black lining.  That train is almost as sick as that jewelry wrapped around her neck and wrists.  Sophia singing “I am Erika Norell, a former Miss Gay USofA and the reigning Miss Continental” for a couple of verses with Erika lip syncing flawlessly.

Victoria LePaige with some Faith Evans “Love Like This” in brown leather shredded widely at the hem with brown and white fur trim through the bust and laces tying it all together in front and back.  Lovely beige fur cuffs lined with leather trim and matching gold necklaces and earrings.

Raquell Lord is our last entertainer before evening gown.  Gold lame bra and hotpants, “Baby Boy”.  Sickening in long brown straight hair.  Black open toe t-strap shoes.  She gonna get nekkid, you just watch… and here it goes into the “Crazy in Love” hook.  Leopard print bikini with g-string bottom and cross straps through the ribs and wrapping around the back.

Entertainment before awards…. Tina Devore doing a stunning ballad, representing Miss USofA Classic Emeritus.  (St. Louis… February… St. Louis… February…)  - Kofi sang us a little ditty about Little Rock and scores being added… I lived!  She said she was just having a flashback… who knows what that’s all about!  Must be that diet she’s on, warping her memory or something… I can’t recall any such thing happening myself, children!  Chevelle Brooks remix of “I’m a Slave 4 U” in red dance costume with red beaded fringe just slinging all over.  Black boots with stone heels.
