CHEVELLE BROOKS AND I WANT TO KNOW! :)

47-Virginia West-MAJOR stone look flats with 4 people chained up...2 to the wall and 2 to posts, song-Alanis Morrisette "Uninvited" almost a "MAD MAX Beyond Thunderdome" theme...then into " Love Dominate" great expressions on her and the dancers.....lots of in sync dance movements, and lifts......music slows then back into "Uninvited" Alanis....very "In your face" movements at end, then she picks up every dancer by MEGA long pony tails and drags them walking around the stage to have them drop to the ground at the end! VERY DOMINATRIX ATTITUDE from her, and VERY scared looks/shaking by the dancers! ORIGINAL!!!!

48-Joy Marnier-Huge white ruffle coat, with 3 backups in green stretch material body sack type outfits.....starts with Enigma, then Gloria, then "HAPPY" with rip away costumes to rainbow fringe, lifts, and energy....very professional dancer backups, GREAT SMILES and energy! they look like they are having lots of FUN!, jumps into 1 dancer's arms and does body swings and then a Ballroom dance type "death drop" to the floor, followed with more body swings, then to each dancer for more...lift at the end. This is probably the BEST talent Joy has shown at Miss USofA!!!! GREAT JOB!

The nude area is even MORE heavily stoned. Long sleeved, moderate manderin collar. Hair done in sculpted shiny curls piled on top.

The bodice and left sleeve are nude HEAVILY stoned and beaded continuing to the mandarin collar and on going around the back and shoulders. Long train, and pointed cuffs, and cobalt dyed satin shoes. Black hair done in a bumped roll with curls trimming.

Tall collar in back, going into a mid rounded neckline. Waterfall horizontal liquid beadwork going from below waist to the front hem of the skirt. Satin dyed shoes to match.

47-Virginia West- Coco Vega Cobalt blue MULTI SWIRLED PATTERN design. Bodice, sleeves, and back of high backed collar are in the same design of gold beaded and stoned swirls. Inside of collar, the pirate cuffs, and 3 strips of beadwork are all horizontal liquid beaded, trimmed in gold 3-D beads. Skirt is solid speckle beaded and speckle stoned, front slit, train trimmed in swirl design, and OUTRAGEOUS AUBURN red hair in spiky sprigs.

48-Joy Marnier-Strapless black horizontally liquid beaded bodice going just below waist where Eggshell horizontally beaded stripes are alternating with black stripes, both horizontal as well. Black satin pumps, 2 rhinestone cuff bracelets, and large dangle rhinestone earrings.

1-Dea DeMonte- 2 flame shaped flats on each side of a cave looking enclosure with a lit sign saying "DEA'S CLOSET" with smoke billowing out of it. 2 backups in cage crouched down on each side of her. "Dominate" (same song as Virginia West last night)....Dia comes out of cage in a black patent /vinyl long sleeved cape and thigh high boots, multi colored dreadlocks and spiked collar. 2 more dancers come out in vinyl pants, red dreadlocks...very punk look. Cape rips off to a red and black stonewall type design and the mix goes into instrumental version of "Thriller". In between the mixes is a HIGH pitched squeal sound, and another backup with a "Hannibal Lechter" type mask comes out and they confront each other.......dancers come back and the masked man falls and she whips him! Mix goes back to "Dominate", then into "Turn It Up" by Oaktown 357, then whip sounds and end.

2-Sasha High-Carmen Miranda style ruffled MEGA long train and ruffled bustline with gold glitter dot fabric around the waist/mid area. MAJOR headdress. Music is "Perhaps" from Vikki Carr. She leaves, and 6 dancers with the same light blue and yellow ruffles on their sleeves and white pants come out. She's in a harlequin patterned cocktail dress/dance dress trimmed in palette trimmed yellow fringe....song is by Olga Tanon, very upbeat Salsa/Cuban beat. Dancers are VERY energetic and into it. Dancers leave, song stops and then you hear "DJ, FUCK ME!" and 4 dancers come back, then 2 more in costumes and MAJOR yellow feather headdresses, in the style that would be from the Distrito Federal zone (Mexico City) area of Mexico. She comes back with HUGE white plumes on her back and back of headdress, and a 2 piece fringe trimmed dance costume. Only instrumental music, high energy Salsa beat plays while they dance the house down. Crowd LOVES IT and screams!!

3-Lady Marissa-Robin Williams voice introducing "Joan Rivers".....She comes out in a yellow 2 piece suit, Joan Rivers blonde bob hair. Lipsyncing to a monologue from one of Joan's live comedy concerts. Great expressions when doing a part about "Epilady" hair removal. Ending with tampon size comparisons...i.e. regular, Super, SUPER PLUS...."I put in a Super Plus, went swimming, and WHOOSH, it soaked up all the water!" :)

4-Justice Paige Counce-Aretha Franklin "Respect" begining, mixes into "Think". She's wearing a black stretch mock turtleneck with faux fur cuffs, black pants that have an overlay of line beaded black silk. The side and inside hems of the overlay are open, so it flows.......kinda cool look!.....Mixes into "Freedom", builds energy in movements, then mixes into "Cant Turn Me Loose" and really gets into it! Outfit and overall look is better than last time she did this talent! Great equal division of working the crowd and judges.

5-Alexis St. James-2 dancers on stage crouched down, with a glitter dot fabric covered Pepsi can looking backdrop. Britany Spears impersonation to the Pepsi commercial theme. Mixes into "Stop" then Austin Powers comes out of the can and says "That isnt Britany Spears...that's a MAN BABY!" from the Pepsi Twist commercial. Mix goes into sped up/remixed version of "Stronger". She and the dancers are wearing black pants with zippers on the legs, studded belts and black sheer tops. Austin comes back and they end with a snippit more of the Pepsi commercial.

6-Karissa Wade-Begins with her voice talking about how you dont need dancers and props to do talent, and tells the crowd that she is going to sing for her talent. "I Fall To Pieces" by Patsy Cline is what she sings. She's wearing a red sheer sleeved, trumpet skirted gown with what looks like a design of fireworks in silver.

7-Eileen Dover-Mommie Dearest themed mix. Wine colored suit with black mink cuffs and hat. Mix goes into remix of "I Am Woman", then monologue from the movie, then into "Diva" with more sayings from the movie overlayed in the song. She takes her hat off and has a tiara on that says DIVA and goes into Aretha's "Respect". Back to more from the movie, ending with "Why must everything be a contest"

8-Danielle Hunter-"Phantom of the Opera" theme playing, she comes out from behind a man hidden behind a black cape in a lavender themed gown. Celine Dion "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", he drops the cape and is the Phantom. Then he wraps the cape around her and when he opens it she is in a grape/aubergine ballroom style silk gown. Goes into "All By Myself" Celine Dion with Phantom watching on. She runs to the Phantom, jumps into his arms and he twirls her around and around MEGA fast!....Ballroom style dancing, Phantom falls to the floor, she takes his mask and ends.

9-Ashlyn Tyler-Dressed as an old woman, with walker and does a comedy monologue from "Queens of Comedy"....Monique's part. If you arent familiar with this monologue, it is all about "Skinny bitches and Fat Bitches"! Plays to the judges....Dan Frasier and Maya Douglas! Her expressions are hilarious a mix between "ghetto girl" and old lady!!!! Then it mixes into Missy Eliot "Work It" and she climbs on the walker and dances, then back into the monologue. When the part about "Look at you skinny bitches..." comes back, she goes right in front of Tommie Ross, Natasha Richards, Erica Andrews and Erika Norell and points at them....VERY FUNNY!!!!!!! Mix goes into "Respect" by 24K and ends with that song.

10-Layla LaRue-(While setting up props and dancers getting ready on stage, the crowd chants/screams "LAYLA" over and over).....
Backdrop airbrush painted with space looking asteroid and sky, 2 silver metallic fabric covered hoola hoop columns on sides. Starts with VERY TALL person talking, then he turns around and Layla comes around and goes into "One Minute Man" by Missy Eliot. 8 Dancers in camoflage, 2 dance with her during "Get Your Freak On", then all 8 come on when the backdrop opens to a large mural of Layla as Joan Crawford and she points at it and says "WHO'S THAT BITCH"! She goes into another Missy song, leaves the stage, and she and 4 dancers come back in silver and red flame accented outfits....her's is Black with red flames...and does "This Is For My People" by Missy.....she leaves, and 12 dancers rush out, she comes back as Joan Crawford, in a vinyl version of a Joan Crawford style outfit and ends. The crowd goes WILD!! Amazing energy and great dancing!!!!!!!

GREAT togetherness from dancers, sharp moves......very ON IT! Ending with a lift and explosion.

12-Wendy Williams-4 dancers in pinstripe suits sitting on club style chairs. "Big Spender" by Shirley Bassey. She's wearing a periwinkle/light blue coverup, takes it off and has a bodysuit/dance outfit in the same color beaded, with silver beaded accents and heavy beaded fringe on the trim. She and the dancers interact a lot with her walking on the chairs and such. She leaves, and the remix version of "Big Spender" comes on. While she's gone, the guys dance behind their chairs, then rip their suits off to have black square cut shorts and sleeveless shirts on. She comes back and the continue moves all together. She is in black bra with long fringe and square cut bottom as well. They pull out silver metallic flags and are insync swirling them for effect. They lift her up, and around, and end the song.

GROUP 1
1-Dea DeMonte- Light Lime Green/Kiwi colored long sleeve velvet gown encrusted with AB and crystal rhinestones throughout the gown with several different sizes of pearls (ranging from very small to the size commonly used by Dragon Lady for his necklace/earring sets) intermingled with the stones. A slight train, rounded open neckline, and a neckcuff type collar were great design aspects of the gown. Very pretty and unique color!

2-Sasha High-Cotton Candy Pink tulle skirted ballgown speckled with irridescent pink sequins. The bodice is a half shade lighter pink satin boustier with AB stones as well. Opera length pink gloves, and rhinestone accented French Rolled hair added flair.

3-Lady Marissa- Strapless front with an upside down T in the back going to a neckcuff collar. Black and White satin in varying square and rectangle shapes (picture a magnified geometric design) were trimmed with double rows of the same color rhinestone banding. GREAT IDEA and LOOK of the gown!

4-Justice Paige Counce-Black stretch fabric with an irridescent cobalt blue cracked ice pattern throughout the skirt, train, and bodice, leading up to an applique covering the bust and the halter strap around the neck.

5-Alexis St James-Multi colored Stephen Yearick deep v-necked sleeveless style gown with trumpet bottom skirt and train. The design is very "Bob Mackie-esque" with the "tiger stripe" type design.

6-Karissa Wade-Solid tightly liquid beaded long sleeve gown in Royal blue. Solid blue front with stand-up collar and cuffs encrusted with stones. The train was in a Peacock feather look design. The back had a circle open back between the shoulder blades, and the back of the collar was solid blue.

7-Eileen Dover-Claire's Collection designed gown with liquid beaded skirt in green.....a shade between Kelly green and Emerald green. From the v-waist up to the bodice, shoulders, and long sleeves, the gown is scrollwork and paisley gold beaded trimmed design, with v-neck and semi open back.

8-Danielle Hunter-Stephen Yearick white bridal lace strapless straight bustline gown. The gown is fully encrusted with AB rhinestones, and the bustline is trimmed in wide strips of stones as well. BREATHTAKING!!!!!

9-Ashlyn Tyler-Black strapless stretch fabric gown. The fabric has almost a ribbed look to it, with a black beaded bust with alternating rows of silver beadwork. LARGE rhinestone necklace and bracelet.

10- Layla LaRue-Escorted onto stage wearing a black wrap of fox tails over her shoulders and neck. The gown is solid black liquid beaded v-necked halter design, with two wide rhinestoned and silver beaded wide lines on the neckline and bodice. The hem of the train and slit were of the same beading and stonework as the neckline. The beadwork on this gown was incredible and shined LOVELY!!!!!

11-Cristal Ciccone-Antique rose colored antibellum type ballgown with spaghetti strap going around the neck. The bust is rhinestone with AB stones, that speckle down the skirt of the gown. The back of the skirt and the side looked like it was overlayed with the solid fabric on a diagonal swoop, and the other half of the skirt was ruffles of the same color (rose).

12-Wendy Williams-Coco Vega navy silk heavily encrusted with navy and gunmetal beads in a tight design. Halter top with strap going around the neck into a tall stand up collar. Front slit trimmed in silver beads and stones continues to the long rounded train.
GROUP 3
13-Essence-Yellow and Red curtain backdrop, Essence comes out first in a yellow 2 piece Bolero jacket/strapless cocktail length dress. Then 3 men in choir robes follow out from the curtain as she starts into a classic Dottie Peoples gospel song. Backups lipsync as well, and do traditional choir movements. Impromptu bridge of song has her doing "on the beat" movements, as choir does the same.........HIGH GOSPEL ENERGY! Choir brings out tamborines, and talent ends on a high note

14- Tiara Russell- Solo Liza Minnelli impersonation in red bodysuit with tuxedo jacket with tails in black velvet with black satin trim and cuffs with rhinestone cluster buttons. "Liza With a Z" (lipsync was ON!), mixes into "Ring Them Bells" (I LOVE BOTH SONGS! ;) Great expressions, and energy.

15-Poison Ivy Norell-Comes out in a black graduation type robe, with the word "JOY" in silver glitter dot fabric on the back. Monologue begining leads into "Unspeakable Joy". Great expressions to the words and you can tell she is "Feelin' her drag!" 2 backups come on, then 2 more, she takes off the robe and has a black thick fringe dance dress on. At the "Y'all got enough yet" part they rip off the dress to a black and silver bra and panty dance outfit trimmed in beaded fringe. Dancers lift her to where she is standing on their hands, and she does calculated tight movements....NOT EASY TO DO!!! Dancers and she continue the routine, and another lift at the end, not the same as the first though.

16-Ginger Manchester- 6 dancers in tuxedos bring her out in a "lean over" lift, with feather fans in electric blue and yellow. Eartha Kitt's "Champagne Taste" is the first song, and dancers 1 by 1 come out with different hand held props dealing with the lyrics. Mixes into "My Discarded Men" by Eartha. All dancers come back out, without jackets this time, and surround her, then lift her to the middle of the stage where the maribou feather duster/coat is ripped off from each cuff and she is wearing a long sleeved gown in turquoise, blending into solid silver on the bust and shoulders. An inverted V above the knees trims silver beaded fringe on the bottom of skirt. She and dancers do the number very "Vegas" style. All leave stage, and dancers re-emerge with jackets on and each holding 2 large feather fans from the begining. They cover her from the neck down to only show her wearing a large spade shaped ostrich plume trimmed headdress. They uncover and she's wearing a 2 piece beaded fringe dance costume.

17-Victoria Lace-She comes out in black coverup, then 3 dancers in tangerine muscle shirts and black pants. She leaves stage and returns in a tangerine dance outfit with black and irridescent sequin squiggle lines. Victoria and her dancers are INCREDIBLY TALENTED!!! Snippits of songs lead into "Unspeakable Joy" remixed to the heavy beats where she and her dancers hit every beat with POWER! "Ya'll Got Enough Yet" is remixed to say it 3 times, and then she and her dancers continue the energy to end with a "lay down" lift! It is obvious that she and her dancers are focused and VERY talented!

18-Bajia T. Towers- Comes out wearing a pink long "coat dress" style gown with a black rose print design trimmed in pink faux fur on the cuffs and neck. She does Jennifer Holliday's "And I Am Telling You"

19-Raquell Lord-4 dancers and Raquell all dressed in white, doing her Janet Jackson talent number she is known for. She and her dancers do MANY signature Janet moves and hit each one with ease! Her expressions are smooth, confident, and relaxed while keeping the high energy going! WONDERFUL!

20-Crystal Chambers-Crystal and 4 dancers are dressed in monk style robes with hoods. One by one they start to take them off, and Crystal turns around and does a Cher's "Strong Enough" solo and looks dead on Cher! White "Elvis style" pantsuit with bell cuffs on the sleeves and pant legs is speckled with palettes, rhinestones, and beads. Dancers come out and they do another version of "Strong Enough" together, and mix into "All or Nothing", then for the end it mixes to "Believe" and the energy of the dancing builds and they all have equal energy in their moves! GREAT JOB!

21-Kathryn York-Kathryn standing back to crowd faces a large Aztec mask muraled backdrop. 6 dancers form into a V shape with the point being Kathryn. She turns around and looks LOVELY! The costumes are white with teal and hologram sequin accents in Native American/Aztec style. "A Woman's Got The Strength" by Jennifer Holliday, Kathryn and 2 dancers do a routine building the crowd, and the other 4 dancers come back with large light teal flags swirling them around and around......great impact! They finish out the song with more insync moves. GREAT ENERGY!

22-Chanel-Talent starts with Enigma sounding instrumental music with overlays of different muffled voices, then the into to "Im Every Woman" and Chanel comes out in a black duster/full overcoat....leaves stage, comes back in an Emerald green beaded dance costume with 2 dancers, does some insync movements with them, and 4 more come out, and all the while the music is a compliation of high energy Whitney Houston dance songs. Chanel does quick costume changes (i.e....leave stage, come back with a coat,.....again, but this time a different dance outfit...etc.) This talent was something FRESH and NEW from Chanel! WONDERFUL JOB CHANEL!

23-Mokha Montrese-20th Century Fox theme starts with the "Tootsie Roll" Owl and the saying from the Tootsie Roll commercial. The owl turns around and Mokha is in a black skin tight outfit with a PLUNGING....PLUNGING....PLUNGING neckline! (Did I mention it was PLUNGING! ;) "How Many Licks" by Lil Kim comes on and she and 4 dancers work the song with erotic and insync movements. Mokha leaves stage, dancers alternate solo movements, she comes back with a white feather coat and hair change, they continue with more Lil' Kim, dancers leave stage, "Tootsie Roll Owl" comes back and they turn around the opposite way this time as she goes back behind him to end the talent. Mokha looked AMAZING!!!!!!

24-Ingenue-Talent starts with a phone conversation where she repeats "My pussy is burning...." then goes into a snippit of the song "Pussy". Wearing a black glitter dot coverup trimmed in white maribou feathers on the neckline and cuffs. She takes off the coat and does part of a comedy monologue from "Queens of Comedy" wearing a red mini dress with a large white "Red Cross" symbol on the front "breast pocket" area. She does a mix of songs/monologues with the common theme of...........you guessed it, the word "pussy"! :) Takes off the red dress to have a white vinyl similar style dress with a red "Red Cross" symbol this time. Sweet Pussy Pauline, mixed with more "pussy" snippits as she takes that dress off to lingerie and fishnets. (The unofficial count of the usage of the word "pussy" at posting was 387, but we wont be sure until the videotape of prelims is released! :)
